is Rugged MicroDAQ?

Based on the same technology as our
popular MicroDAQ data acquisition
product series, the new Rugged MicroDAQ range was introduced
to
provide data acquisition in industrial environments.
From dusty factories to automotive testing, from humid locations
to greasy
workshops, the Rugged MicroDAQ is perfectly suited for them
all.
The custom designed extruded aluminium housing provides
a protective
enclosure for the product. Performance of the Rugged MicroDAQ
is further
enhanced by it’s isolation from the noisy PC environment.
Power wise, the Rugged MicroDAQ is extremely versatile.
It features an integrated
60W switch mode power supply. Two versions of the power
supply are available,
a wide range DC-input supply and a universal AC-input supply.
Both power supplies are fused and run cool due to the housing’s
heat sinking fins.
DC Power Supply Input Range: 18-40VDC
AC Power Supply Input Range: 90-264VAC
To protect against dust and liquid, the unit has a complete
“O”-ring seal, as well as
IP-68 Weatherproof connectors for the USB and Power connections.
This makes the Rugged MicroDAQ series Splash Proof, and
able to operate in
humid environments.
All connections can be screwed on, including the USB and
the power connectors.
This is extremely useful in applications where there is
a high degree of
vibration present.
For portable field applications or as a backup, the Rugged
MicroDAQ has an
optional integrated rechargeable NiMH battery pack which
can power the unit for
2 - 20 hours. A sophisticated charger is built-in which
handles battery charging
and management.
With their wide range of interface and power supply options,
the Rugged
MicroDAQ series provides easy connection and integration
with industrial
and commercial computers and control systems.
The Rugged MicroDAQ also features three LED indicators,
one for external power,
one for USB activity and one for charge status.
